| | Rules - IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!!! « Thread Started on Feb 2, 2006, 9:43pm » | |
This is a VERY important section, so please take the time to read over all rules. You could get banned, or even be deleted from the site for breaking certain rules. I hope that I won't have to take such drastic measures, and I'm sure that none of you would purposely break them, but it's hard to follow the rules when you don't know what they are. So please take the time to accquaint yourself with the rules so that you and everyone else can enjoy the site. I'm not trying to be hard on ya'll, but I want this site to stay clean and enjoyable, so rules (and punishments) will be strictly enforced. These rules do go for everyone (even me and the mods) and apply to the whole site (unless there is a stated exception). Here's what they are:
1) There is to be ABSOLUTELY NO cussing! (This site is meant for LotR fans to come and be able to enjoy themselves, and they should not have to worry about coming across something that they do not want to read) Punishment: If this rule is broken, it will result in you being banned for a period of up to a month (depending on the severity of the word).
2) There is to be ABSOLUTELY NO hate/racist comments! (Once again, this site is for fans to enjoy themselves, and discriminating remarks will NOT be tolerated, no matter what the race is (unless you're talking about those nasssty elvesesss or the precioussss yet evil fissshesss that got away ) Punishment: If this rule is broken, it will result in either you being banned for a set period of time or being deleted from the site altogether (depending on the content of the comment).
3) There will be ABSOLUTELY NO remarks that have any sort of sexual reference in them! (If you want to dicuss something like that, go to another site!) Punishment: This will result in you being IMMEDIATLY deleted entirely from the site.
4) There is to be NO spamming/mass mailing to members of this site! (Spamming will not be tolerated at all; if there is a need for mass mailing, you can contact myself or a mod to requst permission) Punishment: Spamming will result in automatic deletion from the site; mass mailing (without the permission of myself or a mod) will result in a two-month banning.
5) There is to be NO dicrimination on the account of religion. (Everyone has the right to choose their own religion, and I will not tolerate anyone making fun of some else's relgion, nor will I tolerate anyone being made fun of *for* their religion (or for anything at all). Let's try to be open-minded, shall we?) Punishment: You will get a public warning (so no one can say "I wasn't warned"), and if you do not stop, you will be deleted from the site altogether.
6) Most of all (this is VERY important): HAVE FUN! (That's what the site is created for, so please do so!) Punishment: Breaking THIS rule will result in me and/or the mods tying you to a chair and making you watch ridiculous fanfic movies and singing you the 'we only wish to catch a fish' song or making you watch the 'They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard!' video till you go absolutely bonkers!!!! (This is because crazy people are so much fun! )
I hope this is not going to be a hard list to follow, and I hope all of you will forgive me if I seem a little strict. I want to keep this site clean and enjoyable, and I hope that all of you will help make it easy. Thanks for taking the time to read these!
(If you feel that I have overlooked something, or that a rule/punishment should be changed, please PM me (don't post it on this thread) and I will take it into consideration)
